Getting Started

This capter explains what you need to have with you to use InverseAudit.

General Information

  • Occupancy Type
  • Building Area (GSF)
  • Building Stories
  • Building Address - This will be used to locate your building to select a building geometry.
  • Operating hours - This is required only for monthly data — for example, Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm. The number of floors operating 24/7.
  • Parking Area (optional) - This is required only to generate an Energy Star Score.

Utility Data

  • Monthly Data - 12-month historical utility bills
  • Interval Data - 12-month historical hourly meter data, usually obtained from a Smart meter or BEMS (Building Energy Management Systems)

HVAC Systems

  • Only high-level information is required. For example, a rooftop unit with electric heat.

Good-to-have

  • Utility rates

No as-built architectural or mechanical drawings are required.
