Contacts and clients

Your contact book holds the people you work with. Clients are the companies you audit for, and each contact belongs to one.

Where: Home › Clients and Home › Contacts

Add a client company

  1. On Home, open the Clients tab and click New Client.
  2. Enter the Company Name and, optionally, the Account Manager Email.
  3. Click Confirm.

To rename a client, click its card. Clients can’t be deleted.

Add a contact

If the contact is a client, create their company on the Clients tab first.

  1. On Home, open the Contacts tab and click New Contact.
  2. Enter the contact’s Name and Email. For a client, also choose their Company.
  3. Click Confirm.

A contact needs a company only to see that client’s posted audits. Analyzers don’t need one.

To change a contact, click their name. If you change the email of a contact who is the analyzer of any of your baselines, those baselines follow the new email. To delete a contact, click the x on their card and confirm with Delete Contact. Deleting a contact doesn’t change baselines where they are the analyzer.

Invite contacts to InverseAudit

Contacts need their own InverseAudit account, with the same email address, before they can work on a baseline or view a posted audit.

  1. On the Contacts tab, click each contact you want to invite. Selected cards are highlighted.
  2. Click Invite to InverseAudit and confirm.

Each selected contact gets an email with a link to sign in or sign up. Clients sign in with I’m reviewing an audit report; analyzers sign in with I’m an energy professional.

Assign a baseline to a client

A baseline is visible to a client only when it is assigned to the client’s company.

  • When you create the baseline, choose the company under Client (optional).
  • For an existing baseline, the baseline’s analyzer opens Edit Building Info and changes Client, choosing from the analyzer’s own client companies. The analyzer is you unless you’ve assigned someone else. Everyone else sees the window in view-only mode.
